Warrior Foundation Freedom Station Give-a-Thon Raises Over $1.5 Million to Send Military Heroes Home for the Holidays

Led the Effort to Reunite Injured Service Members with their Families During the Holiday Season
The Warrior Foundation Freedom Station Give-a-Thon took place on November 20 and raised over $1.5 million to reunite injured military service members with their families for the holidays. This annual fundraiser was proudly presented by media partners 760 AM (KGB-AM), Armstrong & Getty, News Radio 600 KOGO, and CBS 8 KFMB-TV. The Give-a-Thon raised the largest amount in its history to specifically serve injured warriors faced with the challenges of recovery, rehabilitation, and the transition from military service to civilian life.

They told the stories of our military men and women like no one else could, rallying the communities they serve to come together and make an incredible difference for our troops. We are forever grateful.”

Warrior Foundation Freedom Station also assists injured warriors year-round with flight crisis situations. This includes flying out-of-town family members to their warriors’ bedsides during the recovery and rehabilitation process to relieve the financial burden on military families.
Service members who are receiving a flight home for the holidays will be approved in advance by their area military commands and healthcare providers to travel. For warriors who cannot travel for any reason, Warrior Foundation Freedom Station will fly a family member in for the holidays.
