Valentine’s Day may be over, but our local teachers and military families still need love!
The “Share the Love” school supply drive continues for the rest of this month until Thursday, Feb. 28. The community at large is encouraged to donate much-needed items for families served by the Armed Services YMCA in San Diego and Camp Pendleton. Below is a list of new, in-package items they’re looking for to benefit local military families in need. Donations can be dropped off at your local neighborhood Mathnasium learning center.
Why are they doing this now? School supply donations are typically the strongest at the outset of the school year, but typically only last until January. The school supplies donated through “Share the Love” ensure that the children of local military families have the best materials to finish this school year strong. Plus, when a family donates, they can get a free “Homework Help” pass — where families can get help on their math homework.
Neighborhoods where Mathnasium Learning Centers are located, and where donations can be dropped of: 4S Ranch, Carmel Valley, Eastlake, La Costa, La Jolla, Lemon Grove, Mira Mesa/Scripps Ranch, Mission Gorge, North Carlsbad, Oceanside North, Point Loma, Poway, Rancho Peñasquitos, Rancho San Diego, San Marcos, Santee, and South Escondido
