We are Veterans Too: Women’s Experiences in the U.S. Military Registration Form
Join fellow Veterans in discussing the experiences of women in the U.S. military including the culture of the military, gendered dynamics, and thinking about your own identities as a Veteran. You will read sources on the history of servicewomen during the Civil War, World War II, and wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. We will meet and discuss on three consecutive Saturdays: 16 October, 23 October, 30 October. All meetings will take place at the USS Midway Museum, 910 N. Harbor Drive, San Diego, CA 92101, from 0930 to 1100.
All U.S. veterans, current members of the U.S. Armed Forces, and ROTC students are welcome.
This program is FREE. Participants will receive free books and reading materials for each session, as well as a Certificate of Completion from the National Endowment for the Humanities and an SDSU Center for War and Society Challenge Coin.
Breakfast & refreshments served each meeting.
